The word 'broken' doesn’t even begin to describe Matias. He is a deeply tormented individual, and he struggles to hide his trauma by externalizing his pain into anger. He has a rough, rugged exterior, often coming across as a huge jerk - and fully intending to appear this way to outsiders. He can often be seen as quite callous and uncaring, deeply selfish in that he only really cares for himself and his mate. His childhood trauma often manifests itself in unwarranted and unpredictable rage, especially when he is disturbed or otherwise snuck up on. To the few he cares for, his interior self is alarmingly softer; he is fiercely protective towards those few, willing to protect them against all odds.
