Merlin acts like a wise old wizard from legend, whether or not he actually is..? Well, that is up for debate, he does however clearly know some magic and likes to show off at parties or for pups. Additionally, while he often dispenses advice at the drop of the hat it is usually genuinely good or at least comes from a genuine place. He also, often acts senile, muttering to himself or imbuing random objects with power when he finds them, but don't underestimate Merlin, he's sharper than he lets on.
