Ash is a roamer and is so elusive that many hellhounds wonder if he even exists. He is rumored to be able to communicate with the birds of Helvalla and uses that to his advantage to traverse the lands of Helvalla undetected. While rather socially awkward this doesn't make him unapproachable. Ash prefers solitude. Because he chooses the off beaten paths he often finds items of great value. His solitude and ability to live off the lands means he has no use for most of his findings. When he is not roaming the unchartered lands of Helvalla he can traditionally be found setting up camp in Myrkvidor, a deadly forest most known for its rotted trees yet oddly enough wide open meadows, which flourish with a great many flora. Tales tell a story that if you carry bloodsoaked tokens, Ash will find you in Myrkvidor, and in exchange for said tokens he will offer you the treasures he has found along his travels. His shop is often referred to as The Ashen Phoenix. Ash is said to use the bloodsoaked tokens as a tribute to shrines within the highest peaks of the untraversed Helvallian mountains, an offering which is said to rebirth the beast himself. Campfire stories speak of the great Alpha sacrificing himself to the flames frequently to be reborn from its very ashes; bestowing good luck on both himself and his faithful avian companions. He is said to see through the eyes of a phoenix that also resides on Helvalla, aptly known as Bren. Bren while equally elusive, and said to the be oldest phoenix on the Island is known to only show himself to a Felvarg when its end is near.
