Havardr is not especially old for a felvarg, but he is also not especially young. This can sometimes be a source of stress for him, as elder felvargs consider him but a pup and actual adolescents perceive him as much too old to be relatable. He is protective by nature and this applies both to pups and felvargs who are entirely capable of defending themselves whom he feels will benefit emotionally from the back-up. Detractors often criticize him for being 'critical' which is itself a form of irony. Although Havardr does prefer to avoid conflict, he knows that allowing anyone to walk all over himself or others means trouble for the pack in the long run and seeks resolution rather than letting things fester or spiral out of control. He is content to play second fiddle as long as the felvargs who outrank him are able to handle the responsibility competently, but he is not afraid to step into the leadership role when circumstances necessitate it.
