Gunnar was once part of a traditional blacksmith family. One day, he decided to pack up, to the chagrin of his friends and packmates, with little explanation. He travels from village to village, offering his services to anyone who needs them. He makes a living by repairing tools, crafting weapons, and sometimes creating custom pieces for those who can afford it. He is constantly seeking new techniques and materials to perfect his craft and expand his knowledge. He is always looking to improve and learn. He often finds himself drawn to remote areas where he can set up a portable forge and work in peace.
Gunnar is not one for idle chatter. He prefers to listen and observe, processing information carefully before speaking. He is a good judge of character and will strike bargains with those he deems trustworthy. He's pragmatic and straightforward, seeing the world through the lens of hard work and necessity. He doesn't complain or dwell on the past, but rather focuses on the present task at hand. His reasons for this seem steeped in some kind of grief that he doesn't acknowledge.
