Personality
Sker suffered the unfortunate fate of being the reason his father realised his mate had been unfaithful. A tiny but feisty pup was found nestled among the standard pups when Sker's mother anxiously called her mate to see his litter. Sker's father left that day and the regretful mother took months to overcome the resulting emotional toil and hardship. As a pup, Sker would be mocked for his absolutely tiny size and his status as the local bastard.
As an dwarf, Sker's size and social status has severely limited his options in life and love. You'd never know that, however, from just how energetic he is. Some locals think he has all the energy and stamina of a full sized felvarg trapped in his tiny dwarf body, the force of it propelling his short legs at double speed. Sker seems to be unstoppable, working extra hard to support himself and his mother. Sker has struggled to find his calling but has chosen to find it by trying out every job he can get his paws on. Seemingly suffering from a combination of boredom and commitment issues, Sker tends to leave each job within a moon or two.
Those who can get Sker to hold still for more than an hour start to see more to him than a silver blur. Sker does actually know what his birth did to his mother, the more devious villagers had ensured he heard about it at least once a moon. The knowledge has simply driven Sker to develop a sense of how important empathy and forgiveness are. A single night ruined his mother's life and left him fatherless. Not a single moon goes by where Sker doesn't silently pray for his father to return and forgive his mate and witness the resilience of the son he abandoned. No matter, there is work to be done and a mother to keep housed and fed. Sker will just keep running and working and not dwelling on the past.
Perhaps, someday, he will realize he does not need to tolerate the cruelty he receives and will be forced to decide whether he should return the abuse or forgive it.
